Ukraine War

August 10th 2024-August 20th 2024

Ukraine is expanding its operations in the fight against Russia. An invasion of Russia has begun in the Kursk region, and Abkhazia/Georgia, NATO Allies post Urgent Force in the 90s, has begun allowing Ukrainian aircraft to launch from their runways. A small force of Mig 29s, Hinds, F16s, and SU25s have been sent to Georgia with the task of being an annoyance to the Russians. The hope, is to bring the war to a new audience in the Caucasus region, and continue to dwindle support for the war within the Russian populace. Wagner Group has also seen a change of command, with the young Alexei Glombavonov (Grandson of Nikita Glombavonov) taking command of Wagner. Alexei, despite being brought up by Putin, is known for being outspoken against Putin, and we hope that continued pressure and a lack of civilian support will encourage a rebellion. Alexei is also a massive critic of NATOs expansionism, urging Putin to respond more harshly against NATO.

August 20th Update

With the two fronts in both Ukraine and Caucasus pushing further and further into Russia, The leader of Wagner group Alexei Glombavonov overthrew Putin, executing Putin in the streets and taking power over Russia. This brings up a new National Security threat for the United States, as Glombavonov is heavily outspoken against NATO. Russias military is currently incapable of war with NATO, but we should be prepared for anything. Ukraine and Russia are now at peace, and the lands have been returned to Pre 2022 invasion status.
